SAINT LOUIS

I walked around yesterday soon after checking in, and I’m sorry to all the residence of St. Louis, but this place sucks. The only thing they have going for them is the boring Arch. You pay $10 for the ride all the way to the stop in a small egg shaped crammed cart. Once on top on the view deck you have to make you way through a crowd of people just to see the ugly view of a factory and a riverboat casino from a small window. On the opposite side you get to see a boring city. After five minutes in there I decided to leave the place.

As I walked around the down town area I saw more homeless people than regular residence. Everything was so gray and the architecture seemed out of place as if someone just put the buildings there in order to take up space. I went to the downtown mall which was deserted beyond believe. It only had a two shops advertising "gold grills". The only store with customers was a very dirty Walgree28 Days Later? Well that's what it sort of reminds me of. Chicago is so much better than St. Louis.

My last day in this strange but yet warm city. Last night I went to the Fox Theater and saw the last show for Les Miserables. Last time I saw a live show was when I was in school and went with the Upward Bound group to see The Nut Cracker. I do have to admit that this show was 10 times better. As I’m writing this I have the opening song going through my head. I simply cannot get it out of my head it was that good. I like the fact that it was live and I will never see the same show ever again, no wonder people love live shows.

I noticed another thing, now that its Monday the streets are more live with people walking around. It makes since now that I think about it. The only thing this place as going for them is the Arch, and I’m sure that is gets pretty boring to see the same thing over an over for the residence. There is nothing fun to do in the city, and I have come to the conclusion to why there are so many gray buildings, it's because they are parking garages. They don't have a good public transportation. I'm somewhat happy that Chicago had the great Chicago fire in 1871. It made what the city is today. I could go on and on and tell you why I like Chicago better than St. Louis, but that would take up too much time and they just announced my train.

THE DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY

What an amazing book, it was more than what I originally thought it would be. It was a journey into the history of Chicago, and one psychopathic killer. It will for sure be one of my top books, along with A Million Little Pieces. It took me a little longer than usual to finish it, but it was worth it. I learned so much about Chicago and its rich history. I remember hearing a little about the World's Fair that was held in Chicago, but I never heard about all the work that went into it.

I'm looking that the cover of the book and imaging how it would be to walk in the White City as the sun was going down and all the lights turn on. Or simply walking into a mini city where everything is a beautiful off white color with every building standing prove of Chicago's great achievements. Also I would have loved to see the facial expressions of the people that saw the first Ferris wheel start rotating. I wish I had a time machine just to visit Chicago at that time. I wonder if Chicago will ever do something as grand as the World’s Fair

2nd INTERVIEWS

Fuck I want to go vacation soon. Well people this is a view from the second floor of the hiring center, not much of a view but at least I can see my car from here. So as I stare out the window my mind is wondering about the other associates that I work with. Well I really shouldn't say other associates it's more like a couple of assistance managers. As many of you know I’m currently at a hiring center interviewing people for a new store, and I do the first interviews and I pass them over to the assistant manager for a second interview if they are good. But there are times when I give the application to the assistants and they act as if I’m telling them to carry large stones. "What is _____ doing? Go give it to them." I hear them say over and over. “I know you didn’t give me the application.” Is another great one I heard today. At times I want to laugh at their faces and tell them that I have been doing all the interviews and one interview won't hurt them. They sometimes act like babies.

NO MORE HAIR

The things we do when we get bored. Well today I shaved my head like how I use to have it before I went to Paducah. This is how it all happen... I was looking up at the ceiling and thinking about how I could make a few extra bucks. At first I thought about working out a little more and becoming a stripper, I hear they make good money. But nah I would have to work late at night and I do need my beauty sleep. So then I thought about getting a second job but that's another nah because I wouldn't have time to spend with my babe. So after about 10 minutes of just staring up at the ceiling I decided to cut my hair. It's strange how my mind works sometimes it goes from one thought to another at random. At first I thought about just cutting it down a little and at the last minute I took off the clippers and shaved my head. So now I'm writing this regretting it.

BORED

I'm so fucking bored today people!!!

4th of JULY

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know this next couple of pictures are a little late, but hey I have been busy. I had an okay 4th of July, the usual burger, hotdogs, junk food, fireworks, and a burned finger. This year we spent the day at Laura's house, my sister. The last couple of years we have spent our 4th of July at my parent’s house but since our pool busted, well it's no fun there any more. Oh yeah and Lucas, he is a crazy 10 months puppy that is too freaking big for his age. I don’t remember when was the last time that I got burned because of a firework, but this year I got my thumb burned when I picked up a volcano firework that fell on it’s side. It was no big deal but it did hurt for a couple of hours afterwards. Oh yeah these are not even half of the pics Ihat i took that day.

Johnny showing Alonzo how to pop an air thingy. Don't worry people it didn't use any fire. It was some what of mini confetti cannon.

Yeah it was another smoke firework, "when is the fire going to come out", asked Alonzo. Most of the fireworks that we got this year were small and safe enough for the younger kids.

Alex was having lots of fun!!!

"Gosh why didn't we go to Indiana and buy real fireworks instead of all these smoke and confetti stuff."

Jordan thought it was a lightsaber.

Laura and my Mother.

"Cool I can put this on my skate board and pretend it's a rocket." said Lorenzo

MORNING

I remember when I was younger I would be able to sleep for hours and hours, but now at the age of 25 as soon as the freaking alarms goes off I cannot sleep. Shit sometimes even if the alarm doesn’t go off my body will start telling me that it’s time to get up. Last night I thought I would be able to sleep in some and just relax today, but no. My alarm went off this morning and it freaking me out, and it sort of got me mad. I got up not knowing where the left and right side of me was. I heard the alarm on the phone but it took me a couple of minutes to register where the annoying sound was coming from. When i finally found it I thought I hit the dismiss button, but I was wrong. A couple of minutes later the alarm went off again, and this time it made a strange sound that i have not heard before, so that sort of freaked me out a little and took my sleep away. So now I’m up early on a day when I’m suppose to take it easy and relax. Pisses me off, but like Chad’s dad will say “it always better to be pissed off than being pissed on,” or something like that.

Oh yeah last night I was checking out Myspace for the first time. I to tell you all the truth I thought it was kinda stupid. A couple of my friends have a Myspace account with pictures and annoying music blasting away on their page. I found it boring, I don’t like it and I won’t get an account with them. Lol it almost reminded me of something that a teenage kid would do in high school or 8th grade in order to feel cool.

Oh yeah happy 4th of July, now a simple question people for any of you that read this, but why do we celebrate the 4th of July? I mean what does it mean to you, and why do you celebrate it? I'm curious to know what you all think about the 4th. United States has really changed from what it once was before. And no people i don't think we are free. There are so many things i wish i could go, don't worry people nothing bad, but i cannot do them at this moment. Yes there is a lot more freedom here compare to other places, but i don't feel free.

THE DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY

I just started reading The Devil In the White City and it's pretty good. It has a lot of history in the book, so if you're not into history then stay away. The book is about the World's Fair and some guy going around killing people. The cool part is that the story it's not a work of fiction, and since I'm from Chicago I can hop in my car and check out the scenes as described in the book. When I'm done reading this book I think I will read a couple of autobiographies and more about the history of Chicago.

GOING BACK HOME

Alex dreaming of Superman

Lorenzo thought it was so good that he fell asleep on our way home.

Wait...the glasses look like the 3D glasses they give out.

Chad was laughing after eating some magic brownies "the dude was flying man".

Johnny saying "you know".

Jordan& Alonzo. Hey lets just be happy they are falling asleep

This is Yadira, Johnny took the picture while she was driving.

Superman Returns SUCKS!!!!

SUPERMAN RETURNS SUCKS!!!

Well i just came back from seeing Superman Returns at the Imax, and this movie sucked!!! I know you people are maybe thinking man does he like anything and the answer to that is yes. I like good stuff with a good story. The effects were great and the 3D parts of the movie were cool, but it lacked a good story. It almost seemed as if it was the second part of a good movi,. There were so many questions that the movie didn't explain all that good. There is only one simple line answering why he has been gone for five years, and the acting was not all that good. I didn't like how Kevin Spacey (Lex) acted in the movie this Lex didn't seem evil. Oh yeah can anyone please tell me what is with the freaking kid? I won't say much about that, but that was one thing that got on my nerves, freak.
