Space Monkey

Well just a few words before I go to sleep. Classes are over with, for now, and I’m moving to Paducah very soon. I’m too sleepy now to write more, but I will write more once I move down to Paducah or maybe later on. I have been busy getting all my shit ready for my move, and the next couple of days I will be busy at work so that is why I have not written anything on my blog. A couple of days ago I started writing something, but I got bored and I erased it. Lately I have not been able to sleep right. For one I’m fucking worried about my hard drive, and losing all the work I have done for the last couple of years. The other reason is because of my move, but mostly because of my lost images. Imagine working for something that you love, and one day you come home and it’s gone. FUCK!!!

LOST

Technology, what a wonderful thing. It has made our lives so much better. Today technology as turned its back on me. I was packing for my big move today when found some cds, well I really didn’t find them because I knew where they were I just never cared about them. The cds had some of my work on them, nothing complete or anything like that, just images that I took. So anyways I was about to save them on my Seagate external hard drive when technology laughed at my face and it said, "You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read. To continue with the disk inserted, click ignore." I have all my work and 3.0 gigs worth of music, and other personal stuff saved on the hard drive. VERY SINGLE IMAGE THAT I HAVE TAKEN WAS SAVED ON THAT HARD DRIVE. I don’t know what to do people, CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME. I don’t have time to take it to a repair place here in Chicago because I leave to Paducah in about a week. I will have to wait until I get to Paducah. I’m so fucking stress right now. What a way to start a new year and a new chapter in life, by losing all your work you have done the last couple of years.

LAST DAY OF CLASS

Well guys I’m in my last day of class, and I just finished saying my final speech. It was about Stephen Glass, Janet Cooke, and Jayson Blair. I was thinking about my BIG MOVE, which is coming up very close. People at work keep on asking me when my last day will be and I just say soon. Until recently I started giving them a clue about my last day, which I regret now, but I told them that it’s going to be when they see me wearing a tie. Lol

Back at home I started packing all my crap. It’s sad looking at my room get empty little by little everyday. I’m only leaving my bed with many great memories on it, lol; and my too large of a L-Shape desk, and my printer desk. I’m not sure if I’m taking all my toys, but they all have some kind of strange meaning behind them. As I was packing I had a Smashing Pumpkins song “Once Upon a Time,” in my head.

Mother, I'm tired
Come surrender my son
Time has ravaged on my soul
No plans to leave, but still I go
Falling with the leaves
Falling out of sleep
To the last goodbyes
Who cares why?

Mother, I've tried
Wasting my life
I haven't given up, I lie
To make you so proud in my eyes
Falling out of sleep
Crawling over me
To the last goodbyes
Who cares why?

Tuesday's come and gone
Restless, still I drive
Try to leave it all behind
Falling, falling out of sleep
Falling, falling with the leaves
I go crawling, crawling over me

Once upon a time in my life
Once upon a time in my life
Once upon a time in my life
Once upon a time in my life
I went falling
I went falling

Mother, I hope you know
That I miss you so
Time has ravaged on my soul
To wipe a mother's tears grown cold

MATH TRICK

Oh wow check this out people, i found this on another blog.

1. Grab a calculator (You won’t be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code-if your number is 01-123-4567, the 1st 3 digits are 123)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

BORED

Hey hey people so what’s going on? Lets see it’s kinda late right and I’m kinda sleepy with a headache, but I’m charging my ipod for a least a good 30 minutes so that I can go to sleep listening to Coldplay. So this is my last week in school and that means that I’m getting closer to my BIG MOVE. I’m kinda scared and excited about it, oh I almost forgot to tell you guys that my future store manager (Mark) emailed me the other day and told me that I’m going to keep my current position at the new store. I will let tell you guys if anything new happens. I really don’t know what to talk about tonight since I’m half asleep. I guess I can share some pics with you guys, here are some more pic that I have taken with my cell phone.

This pic was taken while I was waiting for the train at the Roosevelt stop. I remember it was raining and it was regular fall day, so it was getting cold in Chicago. Nothing major, but I remember that I took it because the train was taking forever to get there and I didn’t have anything else to do. Its must have been one of does days that I felt my ipod at home and I was only sleeping 3 to 4 hours a day. Yeah if you look back at some of my blog entries you will see that I was going crazy a little.

LOL, yeah I love this pic, I look evil. But I took this picture because I was working on a set of images that I wanted to use as part of my final studio project.

Oh yeah this was one of does days crazy days at work. So Tiffany and I started sending pic to Janet. It was fun and not so fun when I got my cell phone bill.

Ah another shadow pic, I remember I went walking to Burger King that day. It was cold, but I was feeling like shit and I just wanted to walk and think about crap.

Oh this was one of the first pics that I took when I first went to Paducah.

Me

Another new year is just right around the corner, and have we done all the things we said we were going to do this year. I was thinking that today on my way to school. I remember telling myself that this was going to be my last year at the store; that I would just go in the manager’s office and say I quit. Last year around this time I remember myself that I was going to start working out more and get tone up. Well that really didn’t happen until a couple of weeks ago, maybe a month or so. Lol don’t get me wrong people I’m not fat at all, in fact I want to grain more weight. I’m leaving the store but not the company, and I did get a few photo jobs in the summer that I can add to my resume.

So now the big question is what am I going to do this year to better my life. Well for one I’m going to start working on my artwork a lot more this spring. I’m moving from my house, shit in fact I’m moving to another state. But now the big question that everyone is asking me is, “Will you be returning to Chicago?” and to tell you the truth people I don’t know.

WAKE UP

Yessss, i did wake up on time but not on time to go to Starbucks. Okay people i gots to go to work and make the big money.

SLEEPLESS NIGHT

Okay people this is one of does sleepless night when I just think about the future and my life. Don’t worry people it’s nothing depressing or anything like that. I just keep getting ideas for pictures that I could work on, and my big move to Paducah. As the day gets closer and closer I’m getting more and more nervous, and by the way people I lied about the day that I’m getting there. I really don’t remember if I did post the date that I was moving over there or not, but I just don’t like good byes or anything like that. There are only a few people that know the real day that I’m moving, which are the store manager and co-manager, personal manager, and my direct manager. In fact they really don’t know the real date because I’m just telling them my last day at work. Lets see the only people that know what day I’m moving there is …my family. They will always be #1 in my life, because they have always been there for me, and I know they will always be there for me when I need them in the future.

The funny thing at work is that they are already looking for my replacement, scary I know. I went in to work today and saw the sign that said there was a job opening. I just hope they pick someone good. You know, in fact I will ask them on Monday if I can help them pick my replacement. I think it would be something cool to do.

I wonder if people will remember the things I did after I leave, what will they say about it and me, or will they just be happy that I left and talk shit behind my back. Oh well, let them say what they want to say; a dead person cannot hear the voices of the living. To many at work I will just be another associate that came and went, I will be the only 1723.

Shit look at the time, it’s late and I have to open. But I cannot go to sleep; my mind is racing with thoughts and images. Fuck!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING PART 2

Okay this is what i wrote today, i don't fell like writing any more, and i know that if i don't post this stuff right now i won't post it at all. So here it is and enjoy.

10:28

Jordan

Lorenzo

Great I just woke up to the sounds of running feet going across the living room. Followed by the sound of my two nephews Lorenzo and Jordan laughing. I realize that it’s 10:15 and my sister Laura is already home getting Thanksgiving LUNCH ready. Shit I still have to get my crap ready and take a shower. I wanted to wake up at 9 and have all my food cooked by the time my family started to come over.

12:11

Okay I started cooking the rice, but I’m but sure I’m doing it right. This is the first time that I use an actual rice cooker, because before I would just boil the rice and add the vegetables later. So I hope things turn out okay. I still have to make the pasta, and of course it’s whole-wheat pasta. Lol I was talking to one of my friends yesterday and telling him that the only real animal is going to be the turkey. We eat a lot of veggie foods here. Okay I have to get back to the rice, and see if it’s cooking okay.

12:53

The rice cooked okay, which I’m happy about. My brother Johnny just called saying the he will be late, but that is nothing new from him, he is always running in Mexican time. Oh yeah it’s also freaking COLD outside today. According to CLTV it’s 17 degrees, making it the coldest Thanksgiving in Chicago in over 50 years. Man I’m so freaking hungry already.

13:11

All done. I finish with the pasta and the rice. I miss my mother, she is in Mexico.

13:41

What the hell I’m so freaking hungry and Johnny and Martin are not here yet. Johnny lives only 5 min away, so I don’t know why he is late. Martin is always late, plus he lives about an hour away. Oh god I’m so freaking hungry.

14:56

My sister Tona just got here, but I already started eating picking food here and there. But I’m still hungry. We are about to eat our Thanksgiving lunch almost two hours late. Okay lunchtime so I will talk to you guys later. And I hope you guys like the pictures that my brother and I have been taking. Oh and the only reason that I’m typing this right now is because my family is praying and I really don’t believe in god. They all know that I don’t believe in god, so it’s normal of me to step back and let them pray. OH LUNCH TIME.

15:45

Oh man that was some good food. I ate too much food. But know that I ate I’m getting sleep and getting kinda grumpy. I think i will take a small cat nap before i go to the movie with my nephews. But i'm getting bored already.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving this year. For the first time i have something to be really thankful for. I will take a lot of pics today of my family and all that crap that happens around me. Like before with my trip to Paducah i will keep a journal of the day. This will also be the first time that yall will get to see part of my family. I really don't like talking about them on here, but today will be a special day. If i find the charger for my camcorder i will also try to record some vids. TCLUC

CRAP I WROTE AT WORK

11/20/05

14:17

Stupid questions, I hate being asked stupid questions. Okay this is what has been going on, for the last couple of days I have been growing my facial hair and just a couple of days ago I trimmed it into a somewhat of a gold tee. And so today I was walking back from my lunch when someone stopped me and asked me what I’m doing. Of course it’s another associate that works here, so he knows me. So I stop with a facial expression on my face letting me know that is a stupid question. So I asked him what he’s talking about and he asks me if I’m growing a beard. I tell him no, and I keep on walking to the time clock. But motherfucker keeps on following me with a lot more questions.

HIM: So what are you growing a gold tee?

“No mother fucker I just shaved it off this morning, what does it look like,”

ME: Nope.

HIM: Oh so you, you just growing hair?

ME. Well I hope it’s hair, if not I’m in trouble right.

HIM: So what’s going on, why are you growing it

ME: It’s called puberty.

HIM: Oh…so you just hit puberty that’s good.

At this point I just walk always before I say something else to him that would get me in trouble.

Fuck I hate stupid questions. Another stupid question is when I’m still at work and people ask me, “Oh are you still here.” No motherfucker I’m just a walking, talking, moving picture of myself.

16:56

I’m on break now, and I’m just felt like writing simply because I’m a little worried. No, wait I have to tell you the truth, I’m very worried. Some times I just wish I could be like superman and I could help everyone I love. My mind is racing with thoughts of what and how I would help someone. But I’m kinda happy that I’m at work right now and it’s super fucking busy that it keeps my mind of things.

I already told my store manager and the co-manager that I was moving to another store in Paducah. Lol it almost felt like I was telling my parents that I was moving. One of the co-managers was laughing because of my tattoo, ( for yall that don’t know about my tattoo look under the first couple of blog entries have a few pics ). She told me that they are going to cut my arm off and hang me from a tree. I also laughed a little and told her that I knew that because it’s a very Christian area.

Oh man I’m trying to remember what I was going to write I forgot because someone just called me Sergio (www.spergio.blogspot.com), Go check it out. Now come on people I’m not fat, and Sergio doesn’t even work here. Fuck that shit annoys the hell out of me. I would understand if we looked like each other, but we don’t.

Well I guess I have to go back now and write some more when I get back home. I’m getting bored now, and there are people asking me questions on my break. “Fuck people I’m on my break. LEAVE me alone!”

JOURNAL

11/15/05
14:36

Well this sucks I’m stuck in the hotel room without any freaking Internet and there are tornado alarms going off. With warnings on the TV telling people to seek shelter, okay people I do have to confess this is scary. I picked this place because it looked cool and I thought it would be better than the other place I was stayed at last time. It’s raining and I’m so hungry. But later this evening I have to go visit my hope to soon be my future store manager.

Man it’s so boring people I have to walk around this place and check it out, before I go crazy from boredom.

21:26

Wow what a day. So I called for a taxi to take me to see my soon to be future store manager and it turned that the taxi driver took me to the wrong Wal-Mart. I was lost and surround by county people that smelled a city boy, because as I waited outside people were staring at me as if they had never seen a Mexican. Lol oh wait maybe that’s what it was I was the only Mexican around. But good thing there was an Olive Garden right in front of the store.

Oh yeah check this out. Since the storm passed through here I have no signal on my cell phone, and I wanted to call %#*(%&*#)&@ and tell her about my trip. Man and to think that I’m planning to live here. I ready know that I’m going to miss Chicago, man and I have only been here for one night.

The store that I visited was soooo slow. NOTHING compare to Bedford Park. But the good thing is that I spoke with the store manager and I found out that they in fact will need support managers coming up this January around the time that I want to move over to Paducah.

11/16/05
8:51

Yeah I have phone service now. So this is the view from my room, I guess it’s the only good thing about the room that I have. Man, I’m so hungry again. I have to call Connie today. Connie is the art director for the "O" gallery and she as a studio apartment for rent that comes with furniture.

Oh so let me tell you guys about what the store manager said because last night I was too sleepy to write more stuff. Well my first impression of him was that he is a very down to earth person. When I went into his office I did most of the speaking, and we started talking about photography. I told him about all the people that I know in the company and how long I have been working. I also told him a small history about my time in the company and the things that I know how to do. I asked him what the store did when the storm hit, and he told me that it was the second code black they had to call out since the store opened. Like I said last nights they will need support manager in January because a couple of support managers will be entering the assistant manager program. But here is the thing; I would have to come back down here for the interview. Oh yeah and another thing there are some Condos a couple of blocks from the hotel that are around $450. WOW.

So as I was saying I have to call and visit the studio apartment today. And I’m also going to walk around down town a little to check it out. From the pictures that I have seen online the studio looks small but it comes with furniture. Lol man this place is nothing like Chicago.

Oh another thing that I almost forgot, I may turn in some of my photos to a gallery that one of my friends owns. Just wanted to let you guys know that just incase things turn out okay. All right people I have to go now and get ready. On my next entry I will just post pictures.

12:49

Yeah I know that I said that I was going to post more pictures on this entry, but I’m bored and this sucks. I have no TV now, I went down stair to the lobby and to the gift shop or to what they call a gift shop, and I bought myself a book, the history of Paducah, which I kinda regret now. But in about an hour I have to go visit Connie and I hope that it will take close to an hour. Connie is in charge of the “O” gallery. I think I will go out to the movies and watch something good.

15:10

So I just came back from visiting Connie at the studio apartment. Man it’s super small. It’s almost the same size as my hotel room, there was something about it that I didn’t like but at the same time I did like. Maybe it was the fact that I saw where I would be living on my own away from all my friends and family. I like it because it’s small and simple. I’m a simple kinda of a person, Lol my TV in my room is bigger then the TV she has in the studio, and it’s better. There was something about her body language that raised my eyebrow a little when I asked her about the rate.

I also really don’t understand her art. POST IMAGE OF THE STUDIO. But I guess I will read some, I’m bored. I’m reading High Fidelity, which is an okay book, but I’m taking my time with it.

23:51

Oh man how I wish I could stay here in Paducah already. Yeah, I like it here. I wish I could tell you guys a lot more, but right now is not the time. It’s so peaceful here and nothing like Chicago. I know that I will be able to work on my photography and just get away from everything. Right now in Chicago I have to school, a place where I enter and I’m faced with hate, the place is called work. Don’t get me wrong people I like some of the people that work there and other could die for all I care. I just need to…let my ideas and feeling come out in paper. Oh yeah before I go to sleep I know when my last day in Chicago will be.

11/17/05
01:33

I cannot go to sleep people I keep thinking about why things happen the way they do. I know and I believe that we do and things and things happen to us for a reason in life. I don’t think Paducah is ready for my art, this is going to be fun and I hope I get people talking. Yeah I like the attention. Shit people it’s late and I have to go to sleep. I have to do some stuff early in the morning before I go back to Chicago. I almost feel sad because in a way it will be my last Thanks Giving and Christmas in Chicago. 2006 will bring in a new chapter into my life.

08:18

Well I did wake up on time, and I’m not as sleepy as I thought I was going to feel. Today is my last day here in Paducah and I already kinda miss it. It’s so clam and peaceful here. Well I have to get my shit ready and get something to eat. Yesterday I got lunch from the hotels…well I think it was a restaurant, but anyways I ordered a grill chicken and it was good. LOL hey Connie (from accounting) you would love this place, they gave me extra pickles without even asking. I think I will go back down and order the same thing for breakfast, Oh you know what sucks, I have to check out by 12pm and my flight doesn’t leave until 4:55.

16:18

So now I’m in the airport and I’m just waiting for my flight. My trip to Paducah has ended, and thanks to a friend I know I found out about some apartments that are around here for $250. But the bad thing is that there is a two-month waiting period in order for me to get an apartment. If I have to come back to Paducah in December for the interview for the support position then I will maximize the opportunity and apply for the apartments. Okay I know you guys are asking why it’s so cheap, and it’s only because it’s the so-called poor area in Paducah. Shit for $250 and in a good area, I’m going to take it.

HOME

I'm home people, but i'm too sleepy and tired to write anything today. But don't worry i did keep a journal and i post it later. But just let me say i'm 100% sure that i'm moving to Paducah.

Monday, November 14, 2005

PADUCAH TIME

So i'm making another trip to Paducah. My flight leaves at 6:55am and i hope to get there by 10:55am. Like before i will write a mini journal of my trip and take pictures with my phone. I'm too tired to write more tonight, and i only ran for one mile in 9min and 14 seconds. Oh man i'm not even packed with all my crap and i have to catch the train at 3:55am. Lol i hope that i have internet access in this hotel. If not talk to you people later.

Sunday, November 13, 2005

19:23

Wow new record! 2 miles in 19 min and 23 seconds. My goal is to run 3 miles in 20 min. Lol don't worry people i'm trying to eat better and i'm also taking some multivitamins.

ME

So i was at work today on my lunch when i started talking with Christina (she works in accounting), and we started talking about my blog. I don't remember what made us start talking about it but we just were. But her point was to tell me that my blog was getting boring. I told her that i already knew that, and it was because i was not getting too personal here. So i kinda changed my mind and i do believe that i will start to write more crap on here. Plus she is not the first person to tell me that it was getting boring.

OLD ENTRY

I wrote this entry about three weeks ago, and i just found it while I was cleaning my room. Also note that i wrote this while i was in class. I write in class when i get bored and always tell myself that i'm going to enter it in my blog but i always forget. So here it is:

9:14am
So I'm in class right now and I'm super sleepy! I went to sleep around 12am and woke up at 5am. I have only been sleeping 4 to 5 hours a day. I don't think it's healthy, and winter is coming i don't want to get sick. So i will try to sleep more and eat better. FUCK i'm still freaking sleepy

9:55am
I went to the bathroom but i really didn't need to go i just wanted to get out of the class. I also checked my voice mail.

10:01am
LOL i'm noticing that i'm not the only leaving the room. I guess i'm not the only one that is sleepy today.

10:14am
Okay i'm super sleepy but you will never see me sleep in class. I hate it when students clearly fall sleep.

10:21am
Great I think I fell alseep. I find it kinda of funny that i did...

10:31am
GOD PLEASE i need some Redbull, or Starbucks!!!!

10:55am
Man, I fell...

11:14
Lol

ALL DONE

WOW, what a great book. I have not read a book like this in such a long time. I'm thinking about buying everyone a copy for Christmas. I know a couple of people that could use it. Thank You HK.

DREAMS

I fell asleep in front of computer and woke up to a crazy dream. Has anyone ever had a dream that seems so real that when you wake up you still feel it. "It" is the things that you keep in the back of your head, and once in a blue moon it comes out from the shadows and says hello. "It" could also be what you fear the most, the things that bring you into tears, the voice that tells you what is right or wrong and keeps in the right direction in life. I don't like dreams, i don't like thinking about the past.

I looked for my wallet and i take out a note that i have saved and i read it. Thank you.

I may tell you people my dream another day, but right now i just felt like talking with someone.

A MILLION LITTLE PIECES

I started reading another book a couple of days ago and it's really good. Heather was the first to tell me about it, i remembering hearing about it before, and then a couple of weeks ago i seen the author on Oprah. By that time i was already looking for the book and just about every book store that i went to here in Chicago it was sold out. So sometime last week i went into another book store and they were still taking it out of the box when i asked for one. EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK!

LUCAS

People meet my new brother. Lucas D.O.B 09/5/05

MARIJUANA

Lets all move to Denver!!! The state of Denver resently passed an ordinances allowing people over 21 to carry an ounce of marijuana. That makes me laugh a little and mad at the same time. Check this out you can not sell it, you can only carry it, lol. But come on people i'm sure there are a lot more important things that our law makers should be voting on, for example the WAR, or GUN CONTROL, and TAXES. I'm not saying that marijuana is bad because from what i heard it's GOOOOOOD. Plus marijuana does help people that use it for medical reasons.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Today is Dia De Los Muertos, Day of the Dead. I don't have time to write more this morning, or explain what it is, but there is nothing evil about it. It's basically the celebration of dead ancestors. If you are still interested in the subject please look it up online.

Happy Halloween 2

What a day at work it was. For the first time in a very long time it was so slow that i was asking associates if they wanted to go home. There were a couple of associates that came in dressed up, but nothing that made me say wow. Oh yeah i did see two guys that were dressed up as Mario and Luigi from the Nintendo games that was kinda funny. I almost forgot there were sooooo many teenagers trying to buy paint ball guns, but we didn't have any left lol.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween people!!! The one day that people can make an ass out of themselves. Well i didn't dress up this year simply because don't feel like spending money on something that i will only use once. But if i were to dress up i would have wanted to be.... i don't know something funny i guess.
So this is what is going on in my life. I recently started running two miles a day and working out a little. The first couple of days my legs were screaming out in pain. Lol it was kinda of funny because at work i walk a lot, and there are even times that i have to run, but i felt like i was walking/running like an old lady. Oh yeah my midterms are done with, so i'm okay for the next couple of weeks. And yeah i will update my blog a lot more. I may also move to.... lol not telling yet, but it's a 70% that i'm moving. I'm going to visit the place on Nov ## and try to see if i could lower the rent since i'm a student.

INTERVIEW WITH MARY

Sorry people i know this may offend many of you, but i think it's very funny. WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS BLOG IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY TATTOO. http://www.postfun.com/pfp/features/98/aug/virgin_mary.html BVM is the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Belinda:
First of all, I want to thank you for giving Adult Christianity this wonderful exclusive.

The BVM:
Just for print. Jet Magazine out-bid you for the North American photo rights. Well, actually they out-bid Vanity Fair, too. But I'm going with VF anyway because they promised Leibowitz. At my age, you need someone who knows their filters. So, where is that other chick? I thought there were going to be two of you.

Belinda:
Mrs. Bowers?

The BVM:
Bowers? Yeah, that's the one.

Belinda:
She sent her regrets.

The BVM:
Oh, yeah? (laughs) She wants regrets? Wait 'till she finds out I overheard her say, (sounding exactly like Mrs. Nancy Bowers) "I won't be in the same room with that Papal-foisted interloper, false idol and stable slut."

Belinda:
Oh, dear. I don't recall her making that stable comment.

The BVM:
Maybe I'm projecting. Whatever. OK, fire away.

Belinda:
Is there anything about religion in America that you would like to see change?

The BVM:
How much time do you have? (laughs) Let me see. Well, basically three things. First, less attention on the Holy Spirit (yawns and looks at her watch). Second, more attention on Me!

Belinda:
That was fabulous!

The BVM:
What was?

Belinda:
When you said "Me" this wonderfully warm light bathed the entire room.

The BVM:
Well, it's like I always say: there's not a woman in this Universe who can't benefit from radiant back-lighting. How did it play on the fabric?"

Belinda:
Completely ethereal.

The BVM:
Perfect! Apparitions so often overlook the importance of good production values. So where was I? Oh, I know. And the third thing people need to do is get back to animal sacrifices.

Belinda:
Animal sacrifices? Say it isn't so.

The BVM:
Look, My Husband went to all the trouble of having it all laid out in painstaking detail how to do an artfully competent animal sacrifice in the Old Testament. And what happens? None of you people do it. I mean, He made humans with an urge to kill, so My Husband gave them tips on what to kill. But people never sacrifice animals anymore!

Belinda:
Well, it is seen as being a little cruel.

The BVM:
It's "mean." (Laughs derisively) So, you just kill each other instead! What's that all about?

Belinda:
A lot of people are uncomfortable about cruelty to animals.

The BVM:
Oh, please. Humans will mow children down in junior high school with semi-automatic weapons, starve half an African village to death, but won't put mascara on a rabbit? My Husband is just so not getting that.

Belinda:
You talk about "my husband." Whom are you referring to?

The BVM:
Whom do you think I'm referring to? Do you think I have multiple spouses? I mean, hel-LO? We don't live in Utah!

Belinda:
Well, they only allowed the men to have multiple spouses in Utah.

The BVM:
That is just so typical of this planet; don't get me started. But what would you expect from some Johnny-come-lately religion without a strong mother-worshipping tradition anyway?

Belinda:
Are you and God actually married?

The BVM:
Look, I had His kid. You'd think I'd of gotten a ring out of it. Right? But no.

Belinda:
Why not? It's my understanding that He's really pro-marriage.

The BVM:
You'd think, but He's real cagey. He keeps saying "How can we be married before God, when I am God?" It's so annoying when He gets obtuse like that; He thinks He's being clever. Not.

Belinda:
Why is He so reluctant?

The BVM:
I think He's really worried. You know, if we divorced, I'd get half of everything. Literally. And that's a lot. Besides, we'd argue over who got Earth. But I'd probably end up being the one stuck with it.

Belinda:
Would our planet be that bad?

The BVM:
Well, as planets go, it is pretty nice looking. I particularly like some of the Four Seasons resort properties. But, I got to tell you, out of all the trillions of planets, there are only two of them where the inhabitants wear blended fabrics or pretend to speak for God. Earth was not the first, as usual (laughs), but it does it the most. As you can imagine, that don't exactly sit well with Him. I mean, He used to get mad at me. Like when reports of that dyke Joan of Arc filtered back to Him, making it sound like I'd been talking to her on His behalf. As if. I don't even know her - besides, I was on vacation that century. No offense, but that whole Middle Ages was so dull! Like the 1980's. But it really hit the fan that week.

Belinda:
You don't know Joan of Arc?

The BVM:
I don't know any of those French bitches who say they know me! Name-droppers! Like that mousy Bernadette woman. Like I'm going to loiter in some nasty, clammy grotto waiting for some delusional drab bore to talk at me in French! You know, not even polite enough to ask if I speak the language! Which I don't. So typically arrogant! I mean, He-LLO?? I can say "merci" - not that a deity ever would, of course.

Belinda:
You don't understand French?

The BVM:
Does anyone understand the French? (laughing) No, seriously, The Bird speaks it beautifully - especially after a bowl of wine, but, hell, that's His specialty - tongues. But I can't keep up with all the human languages. There are just too many of them. I mean, I buy the tapes, I buy the CD-ROMS, but who has the time? Years ago, I took the time away from poker to learn Esperanto. Never again. Basically, if it isn't Arabic, Latin, some Mandarin or English, no-can-do.

Belinda:
So, if someone prays in Polish, you won't understand?

The BVM:
Not a word. Which, incidentally, didn't exactly help them out in the 1930's.

Belinda:
But doesn't the Pope pray in Polish?

The BVM:
The who?

Belinda:
The Pope.

The BVM:
You've lost me.

Belinda:
The Pope. In Rome.

The BVM:
Oh, that guy! I know who you're talking about. I love his hats! They are beyond fabulous. Not everyone can pull off that kind of height. I'd try it, but we can't get that kind of workmanship in Heaven. So, he prays in Polish? Who knew.

Belinda:
I think he does.

The BVM:
News to me. Anyway, it doesn't matter, because I always know what it's all about anyway. They always want something. Besides, with the Internet, we're going "All English" this year.

Belinda:
God uses the Internet?

The BVM:
Not for important stuff, like damning people or asking them to kill their children - the connection speeds are just too slow, but we all use AOL to meet people. Funny story: God likes to go into the Christian Chat Room on AOL, and tell people He is God. You should hear the cocks crowing! They always deny Him. Some woman called Dottie from some place called Tennessee called him a "Filthy liar!" and got an AOL Chat Room Guide to boot Him off for "room disruption"! In the scheme of things, not a real smart move.

Belinda:
What happened to Dottie?

The BVM:
She was downloaded. (Laughs) He cracks me up when He says that! Downloaded. I love that! But she won't be lonely; most of those screen-names on AOL are going to Hell. In fact, Hell is an awful lot like AOL - without all those annoying slow-loading graphics. Mind if I smoke?

Belinda:
Well, actually, yes. I do.

The BVM:
OK. Well, let me ask it to you this way: Mind if I don't have one of my seraphim minions smite you while I smoke? (lighting up) I read what you wrote about that thing my Son said about a Camel passing through the eye of a needle. He stopped smoking about 600 years ago so didn't find the cigarette joke funny. You know what those reformed smokers are like - holier than thou. But, to be honest, He don't have much of a sense of humor. Unlike His Dad. Anyway, He said the comment was in reference to a portal that camels passed through. I'd forgotten about that until He mentioned it. In fact, I've successfully forgotten all that dusty Judea stuff. My rule: if it didn't involve room service, it ain't worth remembering! Anyway, camels wouldn't fit through the opening if they had all the possessions piled on it. See, the bags wouldn't get through, but the camel would fit real good. Sort of makes you wonder why Louis Vuitton or someone didn't come up with steamer trunks in the shape of camels or something. That would have worked. That's the thing with everything My Husband or My Son said: "you can get around it if you are smart enough to work it." They both love puzzles; and life is the biggest. Certainly, the afterlife tends to be a little more tedious.

Belinda:
Why is that?

The BVM:
Well, think of it. On earth, if your parents annoy you, after several years of managed-care, the end is in sight. Up there (pointing with Her cigarette), you can't get away from people - and they are there forever. (Rolls her eyes). Plus, forever, is a real long time - people forget that. And most people run out of things to say in the first 120 years - after all that annoying "ooh"ing and "ahh"ing is over with. None of them is that entertaining or has much original to say. You know, no one reads, because if they were big readers or were in any way connected with the entertainment industry, they aren't going to get in the first place. I keep saying, "Let some of those Sodomites in just to give the place some panache and maybe a floor show on Saturdays!" But rules are rules, I guess. There are exceptions. I mean, we've got Halston cause God knows I can never have enough hats. He's fabulous with chiffon flouncing on halos!

Belinda:
So there are no entertainers in Heaven?

The BVM:
None of the decent ones. We got the Singing Nun and that one fucking song she sings. Tell me that doesn't get tedious! But no one flamboyant with any production values. True story: when Liberace kicked, for months there were a whole lot of old blue-winged ladies doing spiteful things in Heaven just to get sent down to Purgatory so they could hear his free concerts. Like God didn't know what they were up to! So, He sent them to Hell to listen to Lionel Richie sing Ballerina Girl for eternity.

Belinda:
I didn't know Mr. Richie was dead.

The BVM:
Just his career! (laughs) But they've got a killer sound system down there. They have an awesome dance-party on the Sabbath -- which is just done to annoy me, as Satan knows that is the one day I can't go. I bought this great outfit and everything - I'm always about 2 and one-half centuries ahead of 7th Avenue. I just didn't read the invitation carefully to see what day it was. I tried to organize one in Heaven, but no one knows how to dance up there. (Rolls her eyes). Beside, we didn't get any of the decent DJ's. And they can make or break a party.

Belinda:
You mentioned "The Bird" earlier. Who is that?

The BVM:
Oh, don't get me started. (laughs) That's what I call the Holy Spirit. TB for short.

Belinda:
Is there a problem between you and the Holy Spirit?

The BVM:
TB just likes to be the center of attention. He's behind this whole Charismatic movement taking over My-Son-ianty, where people are obsessed with The Bird. I mean, even the name was His idea! Charismatic! Isn't that a My-Husband-damned joke? I said, "Word, Bird: the last thing any of those hillbillies gurgling saliva and rolling around in hysterical convulsions have is charisma!"

Belinda:
Well, you certainly have a point there.

The BVM:
Anyway, I had the last laugh. I've given all of them so-called charismatics either bad dental work or an inability to chose ties and shoes. Sometimes, both!

Belinda:
How long has this feud been going on?

The BVM:
It seems like eternity, but it's probably a few years short of that. The Bird has serious self-esteem issues - you try being just a third of a person - and is always getting in a snit about something. For example, we were at some black-wing function and I was talking to Marie Antoinette, who's a riot; she cracks me up -

Belinda:
Marie Antoinette is in heaven?

The BVM:
Most of her. We don't get into human class squabbles - too difficult to keep up with. Especially with the French; they are always mad a someone. Anyway, we were laughing over the "let them eat cake" comment - which, you know, she never said, but it's funny anyway, and The Bird was trying to get her attention, which was getting real annoying. So, I said, very politely, "Word, Bird: you fly through my halo one more time while I'm trying to talk, there are going to be some seriously singed feathers and the Trinity is going to be the Duality pronto."

Belinda:
And did He stop?

The BVM:
No. He got really bent out of shape. You see, someone must have told him about all those taxidermists I'd lobbied to advance from Purgatory. You know, just in case. Anyway, He did something really disgusting in my hair. And we don't have running water in Heaven, so that is a real problem.

Belinda:
So, this feud between you and the Holy Spirit started at this cocktail party?

The BVM:
No, it goes back way before that! All the way back to the Annunciation.

Belinda:
That was when you conceived the Christ Child?

The BVM:
Yeah, and the Bird insinuated himself into the whole thing and it really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Belinda:
How did He do that?

The BVM:
Well, it was all set up, you know. I knew it was going to happen.

Belinda:
Gabriel had told you?

The BVM:
No. That was later. Luke got it all mixed up. So what's new? (laughs). I'd already talked to God about it. Everything was set up. I'd finally gotten Joseph out of the house. I'd cleaned the sheets and lit candles. I'd even shaved my legs - which no one did back then. So what do you know? At the very last minute, Gabriel comes flying in, waking up the neighbors with that horrible bugle of his, saying there has been a change of plan.

Belinda:
What was the change?

The BVM:
The Bird was going to be the one to do me. (Rolls Her eyes).

Belinda:
Why was this a problem?

The BVM:
Oh, like you'd be happy to hear that! Please! All so that the Bird can horn in and get the credit for Jesus, I have to go down in history sleeping with a damn bird.

Belinda:
I always assumed that was just a metaphor.

The BVM:
Well, I'll tell you, it might as well have been! (laughs)

Belinda:
What do you mean?

The BVM:
Ever heard the expression "hung like a bird"?

Belinda:
No.

The BVM:
Yeah, well there's a reason! (Laughs and holds up her small finger). Anyway, we've never gotten along too well. And it didn't get better. TB's still got his feathers ruffled over all that Marian worship during the Middle Ages. Talk about holding a grudge! You know, back then the Catholic Church was building a whole lot more statutes of me. Only real Anglo looking ones, which I never found attractive. I mean, I NEVER would have worn so much blue if my skin were that pasty! Blue is so draining. God never thought humans would use so much of it. It was always meant as an accent color. Even My Husband admitted it was a mistake to go with blue for something as conspicuous as the sky. But He didn't think about that until we went to Los Angeles last year for the Oscars. Their light pink sky is fabulous for skin tones. Anyway, the point I was making is that they were making a lot more statues of me than birds (unless they were just props for St. Francis). The Bird got real jealous. I know He was behind the advent of Protestantism - just to keep me in my place. I can't prove it, but it has TB written all over it.

Belinda:
I'm a bit surprised such politics go on in Heaven.

The BVM:
I admit; it can get sort of petty. About seven hundred years ago - no, maybe not that long - anyway, we were all at this public appearance thing. The opening of a Mall or something. Anyway, I was busy talking with Jesus, you know, and I didn't realize that I had stepped in front of the Bird, which is a big no-no! So, anyways, instead of just tapping me on the shoulder with his beak, He has to make a fuss and thunder in front of everyone, "Get thee behind me, Mary!"

Belinda:
I always thought that expression was first uttered by Diana Ross.

The BVM:
Another one of my favorite singers that I'm never going to get to see! No, that "Get Thee Behind Me" business was just the Bird pulling rank, as usual. (Rolls eyes) You see, supernal protocol says that when it comes to folks who can stand in front of me, there are only three. Though, technically, they're regarded as one person. It's very confusing. Especially when you're trying to fill out a dinner-table. And you go: "Boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, bird."

Belinda:
But that's the completion of the Trinity.

The BVM:
Your word. You ask me - and no one does - that's just something humans made up. But TB, of course, latched on to it because it places him closer to the action. And don't think you all down here are the only ones who debate that trinity business! We argue about that one all the time - especially when we're ordering Chinese. Lord, Jesus and the Bird are definitely three people when they're eating, but when it comes time to split the bill, then it's a different story! I always get stuck paying half, which is why I end up having to do more of these personal appearance gigs than they do! I tell you girls: it is a man's afterworld!"

Oh, My Husband! Look at the time. My Son, I need to be in some country that I've never even heard of in about twenty minutes - a little scheduling snafu. One of my seraphim staff has this crazy attitude that once she got to heaven her work was over. Who tells people these things? I'd fire her, but she's about the only Caucasian we got up there, so what can you do?

I WANT OUT

FUCK!!! Sorry people i just needed to say that. I left work early today so that i could finish my paper. Oh god i just don't know what to do... Okay confusion: I don't want to go to school any more, i'm i need some ME time. I just want to leave Chicago and relax. Maybe i'm just saying this now because i have been going to school and working full time for the last year and a half none stop. Basically if i'm at work i'm at school. It would be easy if i just had some homework where i had to open up a book and read, but i don't. I have to work in the studio and work in the photo lap, that is just for one class. It takes me about 4 hours just to take a couple of pictures that i'm happy with, and another couple of hours working on the actual image. FUCK!!! People i'm really confused, i may have to drop my studio class. Okay i have to stop and finish my paper. I just needed to talk with someone. Thank you all for reading and in a strange way listening. I only have EIGHT LONG WEEKS left to go.

MIDTERM

Okay people this is an update on what the hell is going on with school and some of my midterm assignments.

Media Law: I was finally able to get the interview that i needed with a La Raza newspaper journalist.

History of Photography: After two days of working on my paper i found out that i was not doing it right, This paper is due Wednesday at 10:00am. So i have to restart everything, but i'm still going to turn in my first paper as a draft.

Studio: Nothing here yet, but i'm still having trouble finding time to do some work for this class. But i do have a good idea for my final, but i will have to let my teacher know about it and get the okay. CLUE: I will be using my cell phone.

Speech: Lol my midterm speech will be on the Xbox 360.

Personal Art Projects: Well i was not able to work with the Domestic Abuse place, but they gave me another idea about working with elders. People always forget about old people, and are often forgotten and left alone.

MY SHADOW

Just my shadow. I was walking in front of my school near the lake front today, thinking about crap and people, and feeling a little down. Why you may be asking yourself, well... sorry people not telling. CLUE: I hate schools in St. Louis, they scare me. But i still have hope, and will not give up.

Oh yeah i will not post much the next couple of days because midterms are coming up. Also i may just turn off my phone to think about things in life.

NEW IPOD

Oh my freaking god people Apple just came out with an ipod that plays videos also, that just kicks ass!! Check this out i read this on yahoo news, well i'm just going to post it. I am so going to add this to my Christmas list.

"The video iPod -- a long-rumored product that could further spark sales of the popular brand -- has a 2.5-inch screen and comes with 30 or 60 gigabytes of memory. It will sell for $299 and $399, respectively.

The company also plans to offer music videos for $1.99 each at its iTunes online music store, along with short films from Pixar Animation Studios Inc.. It also said some ABC television shows would be available on iTunes a day after broadcast for $1.99.

The company unveiled the new products at a news event in California's Silicon Valley.

Apple has already sold more than 28 million iPods since their introduction in October 2001 and now has about 75 percent of the market for digital music players.

The company has refreshed the iPod line-up many times since their introduction. Apple on September 7 unveiled the iPod nano, a pencil-thin device that uses memory chips instead of hard disk drives to store songs.

The new iMac computer, which the company said would stand as an entertainment hub for DVDs, music and photos, will also directly complete with Microsoft Corp.'s Media Center.

The new products come after Apple on Tuesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter profit that quadrupled from a year ago as revenue rose 56 percent and unit sales of iPods more than tripled.

But the company's stock fell as sales of the iPod -- 6.5 million in the quarter -- were less than some analysts' estimates, which were as high as 8 million."

GOOD BYE SUPPORT

Well people today is my last day as a Support Manager. Lol and i have The End by The Doors in my head and Good Riddance by Green Day. But like i say things happen for a reason in life, the hard part is just finding out why the things happen. Ramiro kept on asking me lastnight at work if I'm mad because of what happen. And yes and no. Yes i'm a little mad that i'm losing a couple of cents, and no because it has made me think about many things in life. I just don't know why someone would drop dimes on me when i have so much shit on her. Which i will take care of when i see that the time is right. LOL i'm evil like that, and i don't care who i will hurt on my way to make my plan work. But i already know what i'm going to do.
Also right now i have many other more important things in my head. School is one of them, i'm going crazy, i just wish i didn't have to work and had more time to work in the Studio. I feel i have so much more to give to school, but i'm stuck at work. I HATE WORK and St. LOUIS, BUT I LOVE RED BULL WITH OJ and... July 12. Oh yeah i'm not eating right again, i was talking with someone lastnight and i was telling them that i just forget to eat. I get hungry but then forget because i'm doing my homework or thinking about other crap.
So good bye to Support, and hello to CSM again. Time to clean house up there. LOL

WHAT THE....

I saw this picture this morning when i was getting ready for school. At first i didn't know what the hell it was, it just looked kinda crazy. So this is the infor that i got from yahoo buzz.

We begin with gluttony. A corpulent python that bit off more than it could chew paid the price when its meal (an unwilling alligator) burst through the snake's midsection. Both animals were killed, but searches on "python," "python swallows gator," and "python explodes" (bleh) all exploded as never before.

GOOD TIMES

LOL Hey Ramiro i heard it was a good party, too bad you don't remember it. Just don't drink and drive.

PACKERS GOT LUCKY

Okay so the Packers got lucky this week. They won a game. Green Bay 52, New Orleans 3.

SUDOKU

I LOVE THIS GAME. Check it out people it's a fun number game. I found a site where you can play for free.

BirdFlu Virus

Winter is coming and so is the flu. This bird flu thing scares the shit out of me. Here is some information for all of you, take care, i don't want anyone to get sick or worst. If you guys start feeling a little sick PLEASE GO TO THE DOCTORS!!!

The Bird Flu Virus otherwise known as the Avian Virus has been around for years now however the first case of a person dying from Avian Flu was reported in Hong Kong in May 1997. The virus spreads primarily through wild birds such as ducks, in particular. They carry the virus, but are not killed by it. From them the virus can be spread to farm birds through direct contact or through contaminating water supplies.

What are the Symptoms?
This is the scary part. The symptoms of the Bird Flu Virus are very similar to the common cold such as fever, fatigue, coughing, sore throat, muscle aches and eye infections.

LOST COAT

"Freak"!!! It's 40F degrees here in Chicago today and i lost my coat. I was running around my house this morning like a chicken without it's head looking for my coat. I don't remember where in the world i left it, shit maybe i took it to the cleaners and never picked it up. According to the Weather channel it's 50F but it feels like like 40F, because of the wind and all. I wish i was somewhere down south, where it's warmer, hey that's a good idea what if i move down there? So does anyone know where i can get a good coat this winter? Lol maybe i will just quilt one up myself.

Bla, Bla, Bla today people you may have noticed that I have updated a lot of stuff. I know that i said that i was not going to post more but i just decided not to post personal stuff. Like the text messages and stuff like that. But i will still write about how i feel on issues.

But one thing that has been in my head a lot is school. There are a lot of things i want to do, but i'm still stuck in school. I could have been done by now if i had just majored on basic photography. Being the way i am i picked photojournalism which takes longer, it's more classes, and a LOT MORE MONEY!!! FUN TIMES!! But anyways sorry that i have not updated in a long time and so now i have a lot of shit to tell the world.

PHOTO WORK

NOTE I WROTE THIS IN CLASS:

So i was talking to a lady from a Domestic Abuse place and i may do some work for them. We are still in talks about the kind of work that i do and what they want. I have a meeting with them next week. Also i have an interview coming up with La Raza (it's a Mexican newspaper here in Chicago). I have to email them later day (already emailed them). But i will not go into too much details about both projects right now.

WORK

NOTE I WROTE THIS WHEN I WAS IN CLASS:

Well I hate work more and more. Oh yeah i'm not a real manager any more. No they didn't fire me or anything like that. I just didn't want them to mess with my sister and move her to another store. (Hey RAMIRO sorry i was wrong, i think i know who changed their mind about you.) I am now a customer service manager, and .40 less of what i use to get paid. And yes people i do think i was the best Support Manager, shit they asked me to be an assistant manager, but i said NOPE.

BORED 12:00PM UPDATED

Okay I for some reason I cannot get any kind of internet connection I guess I’m out of the “zone” but I see signs saying, “You’re in a WiFi area. I know what the fuck is up with this place. So I’m writing this on Word and will later transfer it to my blog. Lol by the time you read this it will be on my blog. So for the last hour I went to Starbucks, walked the airport, talked to my sister, texted Tracy, and went to a couple of gift shops. Oh one thing that got me kinda mad was that they don’t have any DVD movies. They only have Elvis DVDs, god who still listens to him. Oh yeah I almost forgot I’m still reading The Da Vinci Code and almost done, but I want it to finish already and get to the point. Yeah I got a little bored, but that is nothing new of me, I always get bored. I may start looking for lunch because I am HUNGRY. This place doesn’t even have a McDonalds!!!

WOW people look so busy. It was a couple of people that passed by and that was in a hour!!! SO BORED, SO SLEEPY

I was at the store for the third or fourth time and the lady at the counter was just staring at me. I wonder what the old lady was thinking, “ Oh my god a beaner…

Gotta love it, a grande white chocolate mocha with soy milk, and no wipe cream.

Once again, I don’t understand it. WHY DO THEY LIKE ELVIS SOO FREAKING MUCH!!!

Yeah an airport in the middle of nothing. I asked if there was anything I could do for fun, and some other lady was looking at me as if saying “Honey child look around…there ain’t nothing but woods out there.”
